Went there for business projects at Siem Reap, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. However, I wouldn't go back again for leisure as there is nothing special over there. The limited number of tourist attractions were already visited during my off days.

Went to Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, and Battambang. I did not go to the Killing Fiends on purpose.

Quite an interesting place. If we impose our local standards there, then of course not going to be great.

If we use the lens of the locals, then we can see how wide the class divide is between the cities SR/PP and the outskirts. But the people have real stories to tell, and some are pretty interesting. Got to speak to some land mine victims. The grit, resilence, and hope of the people is quite humbling.

No thanks, low ses and dangerous place. Sure get food poisoning even if you eat at a restaurant. Only SR is ok to go, the rest is for gamblers and mongers

Been Laos. Bird no lay egg place. Full of third tier city tiongs scamming locals. Locals are all very greedy and self-entitled. Weak gov, many tribes, poor infrastructure, corrupt. Locals are deems as pig brained by local Lao-viet. Locals trying to emulate thais. Avoid going there during monsoon, very heavy rain and floods, outskirts no electricity sometimes.

If go capital, stay in the sg operated hotel, forgot the name

went there around 08/09 time. That was the time when its still relatively untouched by chinese gangs and tourist. Most tourist there at that time was the typical poor AMDK or university students. At that time, could already see that the rich are untouchable. Can see luxury cars parked along side old tractors. Went to see the acient ruins at siem reap, PP for drinking and Battambang for more drinking.

Now with the chinese inflitration, dare not go anymore. scared come back with less 1 kidney.

Laos is a boring place, only temples after temples. Went there before many years ago. Very laidback country with barely anything.
