there is a cheap & good mom & pop bento place ... everything is freshly cooked to order

got some vantage points along main road with nice view of Mt Yotei

a couple of decent supermarkets (Max Valu & CoOp iirc) ... we got some good wagyu beef for grilling there

Mishima-san's garden is nearby but nothing to see in winter ... in May, popular for the shibazakura & Yotei pictures
