Im thinking of doing so...
The stuffs almost never fail within the warranty period (SSD, RAM, PSU, GFX, CPU)...

and Mobo only sometimes...

The savings are about 20% than buying locally... (compared to the cheapest store you know)
any of you guys have so before?

usually i buy part for repair. yes, it is dirt cheap! my experience is, if i gotta buy 2 pieces, i buy 4, and 1 of it will spoilt, after 6 months, 2nd piece will spoilt. so, must have a mindset of "buying insurance"

That's useful info. I was looking at some components earlier but now will give them a miss.

Actually if you read more sites like from qoo10, amazon, newegg etc, you will see the same pattern too. :)

Looks like I will stick to SLS, Amazon and vr-zone. :)

Edit: and Lazada when there are good codes. :)

Taobao is better for parts that cannot be found easily (e.g. LGA 771 CPUs, those small computers with Wifi antenna)

Bought a few SFF PSUs for Dell/HP slim casing from Taobao.

So far so good, no problem at all, the oldest PSU been using for more than 3 years in a HP SFF system when the default PSU died after 2 years.

just a few parts im looking at...

Taobao price | sls price

intel 6600 - 265 | 291
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHZ 8GB - 39 | 99
Sapphire R9 380 4GB - 314 | 347
Cooler Master 212X - 42 | 69

And also, comparing the cheapest B150 mobos:
on Taobao: ASRock B150M-HDV - 92
in SLS: Asus B150M-C - 165

Can see the difference quiet substantial wor

if u dun mind of the warranty, den go for it. anyway chances of items break down and send for repairs. its all 50% chances, cos u dunno if u are getting a bad/faulty chips or parts for some of the component.

Bought a second hand Dell C6100 blade server from taobao . So what's the problem? I also bought a SGD 60 G602 logitech mouse sometime ago. Planning to buy 4K AOC 28inch Monitor next month.
