Hi guys,

1 of my fren who is a ex regular. He was charged on court martial and given a 2 weeks db. After he was release, he was discharged by unit 2 weeks later as he supposed to ER on 1 July. Since he was discharged, he was require to pay back a sum of money which he took out in advance.

My main concern is, is there a double punishment or even a triple punishment in this scenario. Any expert out there? Can help me with?

Don't see this as a punishment.

Is like even if you don't get involuntary discharge, and you want to leave early yourself, and you got a "bond", you sure have to pay back what.

The bond is complete. If its is a serious offence. I am sure court martial will include discharge as well..

So are you saying that if it is voluntary early discharge, don't have to pay back?

if so, then need to look at the T&C to say if there is a need to pay back due to him committing and offence.
