anyone changed scoot flight before? How does it work?

I bought a one way ticket to taiwan at S$150. I want to change the date.

If I do a fresh search on their website, there are new tickets for the same route at future dates at $108.

But if I log in and edit my booking, all tickets for the same route on the same new date become $177.

I tried to check out and it said I will be charged $177+ tax and all that.

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? I know there's a change fee, but it seems like that is added on top of the $177.

Then why not cancel your original booking, and rebook the new, cheaper flight, unless there are cancelation fees involved.....

coz like that i lose the $150 totally
just want to check whether new ticket prices for rebooking are supposed to be different from non-rebooked ticket prices

normally is not wise to top up the price difference to change to another dates.
you have to pay the price diff + admin charges.
you must well book a new ticket ...

U got it wrong dude, there is no such thing as "change" for scoot. Unless u bought the change package when u originally booked. Only premium airlines allow u to change w top up.

So if u need to change, yes u void/forfeit this ticket and buy another.
