Used e-gate in Jan this year. Enroll was super fast and can use e-gate immediately, i.e. once landed in Taiwan, can enter via e-gate.
Even e-gate also super fast.

Yes, there is no stamp.

Finally done my enrĂ´lement near T2 row 19
From the outside, you can only see one counter which today displayed as close.
But there is another counter behind the banner. Just take the queue slip and done within two minutes for me.
No more to queuing when i fly in again next week. Still do not forget to do your online arrival.

So for egate entry with no stamping, we can't claim tax refund since the retailers will check your entry date in order to process your refund. Same like Japan.

I wonder will we have problem participate the Taiwan lucky draw when using the egate since there is no chop on passport..

You decide which one
Then tax refund how? Thinking of doing egate but then not sure how to proceed with retailer tax refund later more troublesome.
you are more comfortable with.
You may also use your online booking to show your arrival and expected departure.
