Anyone experience upping PES from PES E?

I don't really have a health issue bad enough to warrant PES E but I got it all the same. I'm enlisting soon and I just want to know if anyone could share their experience upping PES (things you regret, things you wish you had known, if you think you made the right decision).

I've had a lot of people tell me how good PES E is and should never up PES, don't need to echo it here. I'm just plain curious

You THINK you DON'T REALLY HAVE a HEALTH issue that is BAD ENOUGH.

What do you mean "you got it all the same".

You will find out eventually when you enlist.

I actually know why I'm in PES E but my condition isn't bad enough to cripple my physical activities at all. On account of me being me I know my own condition, thanks :D

No you are not getting me. I am not doubting your knowledge of your own condition.

What I am saying is

You THINK that your condition doesn't warrant a PES E. Well obviously they THINK otherwise.

Have you been through PES A/B/C national service to come to the conclusion that you DON'T THINK that being in PES A/B/C national service is detrimental to your condition?

For them is about covering their arse.

Please don't treat military life as child's play.

I didn't say I'm bruteforcing my way to up my PES, neither am I interested in doing that. If the post enlistment medical review deems me unfit then there is nothing I can do. I was merely asking for past experiences to weigh my options if I did get the choice.

I would never treat NS lightly and I understand where you're coming from, but that wasn't the purpose of posting this thread. I have no idea why you're assuming my thoughts the way you did.

My best advice for you is to just go with the flow. If you are meant to remain in this PES during your medical review, you will, if you are meant to be upgraded, you will.

Enlist and experience yourself and you will know whether you should want to fight to remain in PES E.

are u temp or perm pes e?

anyway, im a pes e guy so i can be of some help to you.

out of the 4 weeks of pes e bmt, the temp pes e guys will be called in for a medical review. if they can up pes, they will up pes and have to go tekong bmt.

after the temp pes e are done with review, the perm pes e will go for theirs. many will voice out their hopes to up pes, but theres really almost zero chance or a perm pes e to up pes. u can claim whatever u want, but the MO is king.

in short, if MO want up your pes, u cannot refuse to go tekong and remain in pes e. true for vice versa too.

anyway, ts i feel u totally. but bo bian really just suck thumb

I'm temp PES E, thanks for the info! I heard something similar but wasn't sure if the guy was just talking out of his ass.

I heard some people who never voice out they want to up PES never got to up PES, thats why I thought there would be a 'choice' in there. but as you said, the MO is king and can choose to anal us... :s22: guess its up to my luck

Anyway, do you know if getting up PES and going tekong bmt will extend your ns life?

What's the difference between PES C and B? I've heard about shorter field camps and such for the training, what about the vocations? or are there more black&white differences?

Thanks for the ans to my previous question btw

There's no more PES C1, now is call PES B2.

"Fit for some combat vocations. Required to take IPPT but can be excused up to 2 static stations in IPPT."

BMT is only a very small part of your NS life and is consider "holiday", what matters is after that.

PES B1 is fit for almost all vocations, while PES B2 you can't do some of the vocations you can for PES B1. Basically I think you can't be like INFANTRY, GUARDS etc. Usually more combat service support.

Ah, I meant to ask PES C2, I have a friend in that classification but has yet to enlist so I don't know much about it. If it does come down to it, I bet I wouldn't end up in A or B anyway. Do you know anything about C2?

If u have been thru PES E BMT and get posted to a unit, and eventually u upgrade to PES C, you will most likely remain at the same place just that u maybe sent to PES C BMT for recourse but go back to ur current unit after that.

if u are temp pes e, most likely u will up pes. u will pass out from your pes e bmt, then u will be called in for the next batch of tekong bmt(be it pes a,b or c). it will still be counted in your 2 years
