Hi guys,

I've ordered an audio interface from behringer, namely the umc2, i've seen people complaining about ASIO4all drivers.

Question is, does it work directly out of the box once plugged into windows? Do i have to go through the downloading of the drivers?

-You will need to download the driver in particular ASIO driver
from the website.
- In order to use ASIO, recording software or media that uses
ASIO driver than will work.
- For gaming or youtube, generally it will be using it's plug and
plug driver but not ASIO.

In short ASIO driver is basically for recording but not for other purposes.
For gaming, streaming and etc. recommend invest in Creative
Soundblaster Z series and above.

Soundblaster series also have ASIO driver but only recording program
or media that supports ASIO than audio output will be through it.

Hey thanks for the reply.
The soundblaster has no use to me because i'm not in need of a soundcard for playback. I need a audio interface for my XLR mic.

But based on your statement, for streaming/ voice chat, i assume just plug and play will function.

Dependent on the program used, if it supports ASIO output than
enabled it under setting.
