i thought they go by brand, not model.

unless ur brand not listed or aircon is older than 20 years, should work fine.

i just spent $2 and try.... i go retail see.. third party remote $10+ lol

dun think so. should be goes by brand.

there are many models...it is impossible for them to list out 1 by 1.

each manufacturer use their own unique IR code..... so the universal will just include these common code range.

e.g mitsubishi 589~635

You go check the listings in Shopee and Lazada. Check properly. Not just read the heading. They all have list of models
sigh, up 2 u ba.

i dun anyhow say 1.
each country got their own aircon model, it is impossible for the seller to list out all.
of course i can't guarantee it work for ur aircon, but it work for most aircon model under that brand mentioned......
u no need to believe my words. i just sharing what i know from my experience and knowledge....... 🥺

can pls name me the brand which you hv used or are using now! thks.
If you have an android phone that comes with an IR blaster, then you can install apps to remote control aircon, TV and other equipment.

For the time being, seems like only China-brands like Oppo, Huawei, Honor, have built-in IR blaster and its accopmanying remote control app, not sure about Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, RedMi, etc.

Below are the screenshots of the RC app from my phone.

Went to check at Shopee last night. And realised that although the remote controls are described as "universal " , they aren't really so. They have a list of applicable models in the details.
My model can't be found in any that I looked at.
message the seller ask him which remote for your original model. he recommended me the latest model. my original is very old model.

Several years ago I bought one cos the original remote control was spoilt. From the store near my block. It worked fine.
But recently kaput. So bought another at the same shop. Exactly the same except for the words " for mitsubishi"
This one is problematic. Have to reset it frequently , usually lasts a day or 2. Set the mode, the temperature, the fan , the vent, the clock . 🤦‍♀️ Almost every time I use it.
Looked at Lazada and Shopee for Mitsubishi ones. Checked the descriptions for what models they are for. My model wasn't included in any of them. Contacted one of the sellers. He said no have, just go get a universal one. But when I checked last night, the "universal " ones also have model numbers listed. None have mine
have you tried the seller i gave you?

for universal ones, they will have a few setting options for each brand. eg. Sanyo 60 to 65. some options will only work partially, or need to reset often. you have to cycle through the options to see which one works fully.

eg option 60 may work but then stops working after a while. means it’s not the right one. you have to try 61 to 65 until you found which one works without problems.

I'll try some other sellers. Cos he didn't reply to my last question about suggestion to get another one.
Mine is 11 years old Mitsubishi

can always buy google home + IR blaster to connect to aircon

Then just have to say command, the aircon on already

The universal ones just need to find the right frequency then can use. The branded ones probably already tuned it nicely for you laew
