Anyone here experienced aircon leaking before?

The aircon is only about a year old. After being switched on for a short while (5-10 mins), it starts leaking water from a corner of the air vent (the part where cold air comes out of the aircon).

Tried calling the aircon company and I got vauge responses from a sales girl who didnt seem to know what to do other than suggesting i book for a servicing which may or may not fix the problem...and merely calling a technician to come down and look will cost $89...and water leaking is not covered by the warranty either.

The other aircons in the house are fine, just this one is leaking.

Suck it. Just suck it..... the water outlet tube rah. Also open up the cover and look for a flexible pipe. Pull it out and finger the inside to see if there's any jelly like substance clogging it..... Read liao, you horny boh?

Yes have experienced it too
Spent $400 for an overhaul ,just before I replaced the whole system with a new one

But alas, the new system is leaking at times too, at the same old spot

Most likely it's your drainage is clogged causing backflow

Do you use that particular aircon very frequently? can be why.
Air con needs to be serviced/cleaned regularly, alot of people even have service contract to service twice a year for example. You will need to service it regularly before it start clogging and leaking.
Sometimes its due to the piping layout too.

In summary yes you likely need a tech to come down and service it.

Yeah, but given is a 1 year old system, might be sloppy workmanship on piping also. Dont think will clog so fast tbh. Unless TS hardcore air freshener user

water leaking is usually drainage pipe clogged with slime. Simplest solution is to use wet/dry vacuum to unclog it by sucking it from the drainage pipe in the toilet.

I don't have wet/dry vac so i made this from $2 daiso airtight plastic box and some hose.

From my experience it is usually caused by clogged drainage. The aircon servicing guys have a wet vacuum that can be connected to the end of your drainage pipe to suck out the gel and sludge to clear the blockage.

I bought a wet vacuum after realizing it would be much more cost effective to do it myself every few months.

Depends bah, my guy blast the a/c gas in. Chop chop kali pok. Then pour water in again then blast again

Buy a wet vacuum cleaner. Ridgid/Ryobi/Bosch. Dont' buy those cheapo ones.

yes mine was the pan tray have goo slime built up and clogged the drainage pipe.
had to remove cover, to reach the pan tray, and use diy wire to poke through drain pipe and pour vinegar, water and salt down, clean pan tray too.

added some pan tray tablets later

Either u chemical clean

U can diy google airconcare

Ur use wet type vacuum to suck from the drainage pipe to suck all the junk out

Do tiis once a mth

i just pour mr mckenic choke clear on the horizontal tray and it will flow down the drainage pipe, clearing the jelly causing the choke. much cheaper than asking them come down for servicing
