If you like what you do, you shouldn't complain...if you have doubts on signing on means you don't have the basic passion, don't bother signing. You are merely in there for money like the majority. You won't enjoy.

Please find something you like to do and work towards it. Unless you do not have anything you prefer more, then that will be quite pathetic of you.

1 out of 20 regulars that I've met regretted signing on. Their main reason for sign on is because of the $$$. Most of them have no passion towards their vocation. Everyday dragging themselves to work, only waiting to knock off.

Sign on because you have interest in what you are doing, don't sign on only for the sake of $$$.

I regret not signing on! Sign on now bohua cos kinda wasted all the bonus i should have gotten.

If I signed on back then on poly scholarship, I think I have around 50k bonus in my bank by now and remaining 3 years contract to run. By then also not too late to strike a new career.

Sign on because you like that kind of lifestyle. Yes, some of you may find it odd but there ARE people (ladies included) who like the military lifestyle.

If you sign on because you can't find other jobs or because the recruiter is chio or some other stupid reason, then definitely you will regret.

Same applies for any other job, not just the military. If you sign on for the correct reasons, you will not regret.

Nowadays contract not so long AFAIK. When I was a NSF, if want to sign on means sign contract and each contract is 7 years. If break contract must pay back.

Promotion opportunities also better now. Last time after end of first contract you will only be 2SG. By end of 2nd contract if lucky you will be SSG if not maybe even 1SG.

After that most people henta kaki. The lucky few will get sent for WO course and become 2WO. But majority will get MSG as consolation and stuck there.
