I was in 41SAR last time. i think they might have slightly changed it. He would still finish BMT with 41SAR and after BMT, if eligible, he would go to OCS and come back to 41SAR as an officer

Why mono-intake cannot go OCS? Mono-intake means all the poly grads or JC grads in the same cohort will enlist together, do BMT together, ORD together, reservist together.

After BMT, some of them will be selected to go OCS, SISspec, while the remaining one stay on to become troupers. Those who go OCS, SISpec can come back again as officers and specialists to lead the troupers. So everybody still will see each other until MR.

I was from 42SAR and the above is my mono-intake experience, though I must tell you I have ORD'ed for more than 12 years and things could have changed a lot.

Good luck to your son. I was from 41th SAR 2018 intake. When you hear Monointake, your son is gonna be with Ah Bengs, school dropouts, drug users, thieves and lowlifes.

41th SAR practices collective punishments as a common punishment, they are crazy about discipline, alot of guard duties cuz there's no Mps for Keat Hong at night, so train in the day, GD at night.

Not to mention 41th SAR is an armor formation. Armor is the most accident prone, just ask your son to geng, he gonna be there for 2 years whether he likes it or not.

i was from 41 SAR back in 2004 to 2006. Glory company. Back then, it was the most xiong company with a bunch of ahbeng hokkien peng sgts. Alot of tekkan sessions. But i guess life in ns must be easier now.

Most likely trooper role, no leadership batch.

OCS for what? Unless sign on, else your son will regret…
