Is mining profitable? What is the monthly profits like?

Getting less profitable due to the shortage of graphic card and more people joining in. It used to be break even on the 60-70 days, now I can only break even on the 140th day from the forecast! If you place your mining farm in Malaysia then the wait is shorter!

Can breakeven with electricity bills?

Depends on which cryptocurrency you are digging, Bitcoin is insanely impossible with difficulties in mining with so many miners in China! People are using Antminer to dig for it nowadays, no longer realistic with graphic card rig anymore. Anyway, there are other better currencies to dig for! :)

If you do mine, don't do it in Singapore where electricity is rather expensive. Hypothetically you could be a cattle rancher in Singapore too, but it would be uneconomic.

No right or wrong, just a matter of profitability. Choose the right cryptocurrency, maximise your investment by investing in high yielding hash rate GPU, selling those coins in your wallet at the right time then there is a difference! Anyway, just stay away from Bitcoin mining! :s12:

In china they make dedicated ic chips to do minings. I wonder whether the ic design company can break even.

They are made by a company called BitMain, their machines is good for those coins mine using ASIC hashing like BitCoin and LiteCoin. Cheers!

Actually, those who like to post their videos on YouTube when doing cryptocurrency are those who make real money! For every 1K viewers, YouTube will pay them $1-$5 USD! Those successful ones have more than 1 million per video so every video they made at least $1.5K-$4.5K USD! Anyway, they always switch cryptocurrency when the one they mined is yield low.

There's some really good free cloud mining services that use your PC's gpu and cpu to mine. I can tell you more via pm if interested, but can't post link here
