Anyone is also using the StarHub UltraSpeed (10Gbps)? I am so frustrated. (Solved by upgrading ONR firmware.)

I will just pay the extra 22 and get the ONT. free black box so essentially just 7 more per month. If don't like the tp link router can sell it for 360 at least, that's already 15 per month
The first black TV+ Pro box is free for 24 months. Only second box must pay. It may be hard to sell the TP-Link router as SH only selling it at $360 for second router. Actually this TP-Link router is good enough for most users.

hey guys, not sure why but im still kinda sitting on the fence on the $88.77. i have the form completed and signed right infront of me but dont know why still hesitant to send across.

do you guys mind weighing in here?
i mean 88.77 for internet, ent+, sport+, epl, asian+, viu, netflix, disney, blackbox is literally a no brainer right? after 24 months its 88.77 for internet, ent+, sport+, epl, asian+, viu and add 15 for blackbox or 6 for whitebox.

the only downside is the ONR which i'll have to pick my battle with the tropper and hopefully i come out on the other side.

but other than that, there should be anything stopping me from?

I dont think is locked in rates after 24 months. All these services will use prevailing rates after contract ends. If not, just lock in now and call it a day.

Make sure to get ONR superadmin password and bridge it.

The 88.77 only for new home owners.

OMG HAHA you saved my concern. Managed to login superadmin account using Nokia app.
I probably mistakenly heard “Lower CAPS, case sensitive” for “All CAPS, case sensitive” and only tried all combinations with CAPS and kept getting locked timeout. Gosh. But then again, the HubTrooper came and setup only using his phone, not sure if it was with the app, but when I login to the app, it’s almost the same settings as the standard admin user. And when tried accessing default gateway (router) IP, couldn’t access on my iPhone. Hmmm :/ Yet to try using a PC though.

Also for some reason when I do speed test on my ASUS AXE16000 built-in QoS speed test feature, max I could hit is 4Gbps both ways. And the most I could get out from my PC with built-in 10Gbps NIC is 2Gbps. Wondering what’s wrong. Yes, I checked my settings and connected via 10Gbps ports. PC is i9-9900K and checked CPU usage wasn’t throttling. What’s throttling is only my router’s CPU1 usage at 100% but not sure if that was the issue.

Also, this is a developing story; I managed to debate my way up for StarHub to change my ONR to an ONT this coming 4th April by using the sales presentative’s words they promised against them. Wanted to say good luck to anyone who’s gonna try but they only offer the new WIFI-7 10Gbps package now 🤣

Was also told by the HubTrooper that the Nokia ONR splits the bandwidth into 7-1-1-1 (4 ports) for its 10Gbps bandwidth. Not sure if that’s true. As he mentioned he’s never seen anybody hitting the full 10Gbps.

Good news for me, I have successfully won the battle. Iykyk :')

If since day 1 SH offer ONT with TP-Link WiFi 7 router then user do not need to do all this.
Very true.

Also, am wondering is StarHub offering XS-250X-A for the ONT on the TP-Link bundle?

Saw you in another thread talking about it and mentioned MyRepublic is offering XS-250X-A while StarHub is still on XS-240X-A.

Reason I am asking is because I am only getting 4Gbps Down, 3Gbps Up; regardless ONR or ONT, Fibre Termination Point (TP) port 1 or 2. Exact same results on both.
(ONR on TP Port 1 switched to ONT on TP Port 2).

You have to use a desktop/laptop with 10G NIC to carry out the speedtest. You can not use the embedded OOkla SpeedTest app inside the Asus router.

The CPU in your Asus Router is too slow to achieve 8Gbps, no matter it is the BCM4912 CPU in GT-AXE16000 or the faster BCM4916 CPU in the ROG GT-BE98.

You may need to disable Asus QoS settings as well when you test with a PC/Mac.

My desktop has a built-in 10Gbps NIC but for some reason I am getting 2Gbps Up and Down only.
ASRock Z390 Taichi Ultimate; i9-9900K.
It is recognised in Ethernet Status as a 10Gbps link.

Well, not sure if it's the DIY CAT 7 cable I ordered, pulled and terminated myself 3 years ago has issue since mine is old HDB and no pre-pulled in-wall cable. But it is recognised as 10Gbps. But exact same results on the multiple ports I have ran.
Borrowed a Fluke tester that only can test 1Gbps and good.

Yet to install my 1*GT-BE98 and 3*AX11000 Pro. Currently using 1*AXE16000 and 3*AX11000.

I am just wondering how deheck the HubTrooper is able to do a SpeedTest achieving high results with a portable device. (Though he did not run a SpeedTest for me and just wrote a random Up/Down speed on the Work Order). Probably a Thunderbolt NIC.

And yes, I saw CPU1 usage reaching 100% on the AXE16000 when I ran the SpeedTest.
And no, I don't use QoS features.

Yes, the Hub Trooper is probably using a Thunderbolt 3 to 10G Network adapter.

As for your PC, looks like a driver issue. There are quite some people who are having issues with 10G NIC Windows driver. If you want to try, install Linux on another SSD drive and then check again.

BTW, the CPU inside TP-Link Archer BE800 or HB810 (Singtel) is much faster than BCM4916 and it is able to achieve close to 7.90Gbps.

I would expect my driver to be pretty up-to-date.
