Anyone is also using the StarHub UltraSpeed (10Gbps)? I am so frustrated. (Solved by upgrading ONR firmware.)

Doesn't matter how starhub frame it, user is paying $69/mth and he is getting EPL and Disney+, on top of 10Gbps fibre BB.

As I said, if the user is not watching EPL and Disney+, then I fail to see the value add.

Normal web surfing doesn't even come close to saturating 1Gbps. If you don't have any other use case that can take advantage of 10Gbps, why pay double for 10Gig connection when you don't even maximise a 1Gig connection most of the time?

Having said that, of course anyone is welcomed to sub 10Gbps for the latest and greatest even without a use case.

I'm entire point is simply why spend extra for something you won't use.
I also never watch EPL before, now i learn to watch. The good about 10 Gbps is the fast wifi speed. I just hope it can drop price to $59 then all will sign up.

Even at S$59, not all will sign up.

Many people are still using 500Mbps plan at around S$30 (M1/Starhub). WC and SIMBA users are paying S$21.80 per month for 2.5Gbps plan. These people will not sign up for 10Gbps any time soon.

I am paying Singtel 1Gbps at S$40.40 per month and I do not watch EPL at all -- I will not sign up for Starhub 10Gbps any time soon even if it is at S$59 per month.

I am paying Starhub 500Mbps at about S$30.46 (S$29.9/1.07x1.09) per month (out of contract) and I have no intention to upgrade to 1Gbps or 10Gbps plan any time soon.

From what I see, most likely ISPs will phase out 500Mbps plan first and then 1Gbps plan slowly. There should still be 2.5Gbps plans in 2028 (half of the household will be using the 10Gbps plans).

Yes from their FAQ look like they will do away 1Gbps. Now already no 500Mbps for new user sign up. Yes hard to sell 10Gbps. M1 do not care to launch 10Gbps at all. May be 30% on 10Gbps in 2028.

I’m in the same boat as you. My SH 1Gbps contract has just ended so I signed up with SH 10Gbps due to the bundled hardware and option for another unit at $360. This option works for me as I paid $1.5k for my Orbi Wi-Fi 6 router about 2 years ago and I have no intention to pay so much to upgrade again. I have no use for Premier League as well so thinking if I can resell it.

I cannot imagine myself owning a 10GbE in 5 years time. Agreed to hop on the 2.5GbE bandwagon for no extra cost, yes.
Change to lower speed fibre plans? Cheaper than now? Will do that.
Cost conscious.

You can do that as you do not need TV Contents. if you need TV contents then no where to jump to,

Hi All, can i check for me to set Nokia ONR to bridge mode. I would have to do the following?

1. Disable TR-069 (both profile and TR-069 access)
2. changed internet profile to bridge mode and bind to LAN4 (10g port)
Set to tunnel, vlan 1078 pri 1
3. Disabled lan DHCP, all wifi radios and ssids

For those who sign up for the homehub + ultraspeed package, a tv+ pro is included “foc” under the contract. Do i still need a tv+ box?

i am asking cos when using the starhub app to select, it auto select the tv+ pro as “1” and the tv+ box as “1”. It doesnt let me change the quantity to “0” for the tv+ box.
