Nothing wrong with xiaomi or oppo le. They can equally handle your daily task as good as the iphone X. Just that iphone X makes you feel better with all the hi end tech stuffs. :s13:

nothing wrong ah. just different target audience lor.

some ppl not willing to spend for a phone and prefer cheaper, faster, better den oppo and xiaomi is best for them.

on the other hand some ppl prefer assurance of build quality, firmware support and customer service and doesn't mind the price tag, den no regrets for getting iphones.

The only "regret" I might have would be when the phone is flat on the table. I miss touchID there vs FaceID. I need to have the phone nearer me for FaceID to work. But then again, every Samsung owner would have a bigger problem unlocking their phone that is flat on the table too. :D

+1. I agree especially if you are in a meeting and you just want to scroll scroll.. .

Anyone having issues with Face ID and wears glasses?
I have a very low success rate when it comes to unlocking while lying down in bed.

If it fails, enter passcode while staying in that position. Let Face ID learn and next time you should be able to unlock easily.

Xiaomi is a decent brand especially for the price. However, some aspects of it just aren't polished. I used a Mi Max before the iPhone X and honestly I can't stand their version of night shift (forgot what they called it). The phone just switches from cool blue to yellow immediately.

Not saying that this will ruin your usage in any way but IMO it does portray "you get what you pay for".

Same as you initially but it ended up with my phone being too close to my face. I moved it further away and Face ID worked.

I wear glasses too - and initially I have problems with FaceID when I wake up in the morning or use the phone lying down too. When I turn on the selfie camera then I realize why- I see only half my face on the camera. :s13:

Most of us when we take out our glasses we tend to hold the phone very very close. After a few days of training the phone (entering password instead of shifting it), and using it (muscle memory) - I'm getting 100% rate now.

Before any apple-haters (I wonder why you are in this forum :) ) jump on this and say we have to "adapt" to the $$$ phone - when you get any new phone, you also have to learn where to put your finger for successful fingerprint read, whether it is iphone in the front, Samsung reader at the back(next to camera lens :s11: ), or Sony reader at the side.

No learning curve, 100% hit rate out of the box. :s13:

Of course initially you still have to learn whether you are holding the phone right side up or upside down when you pick it up in the dark. :)

I use the Sony Z5 for 9 months, and iphone 6 subsequently for next 6 months. The success rate is really very different. I think because they implemented the reader at the side - it is a very narrow scan area. The balance between security and quick clearance cause it to fail 2-3 out of 10 times in everyday use.

iPhone users are used to 9.9 out of 10 times fingerprint scan correct... except of course when fingers are wet or sweaty.

:)

Learning curve for each diff. You might need to take time to suit the style to get used to it, some dun. :D
