Anyone seriously consider JB property

I am seriously moving into JB however undecided if I should go with rental or purchase.

Anyone also looking to get a property in JB, Penang or Thailand without residency visa?

Confidence for the future. More good years ahead... Let us take Singapore forward together.

If things remain the same, i think rent is better

If buying for retirement, then no worries about the eventual value.

However if you are an investor, better not have any expectations about the eventual value.
Malaysian property is not like Singapore whereby the value will only go up in one direction over the long run of 20 years or more.
Malaysian property can even go down in value.

Rent only if don't want trouble (headaches) on legal, tax, maintenance, security problem. Also troublesome for family to handle if passed on.

Political Situation Fluid, Forex Fluid , Neighbourhood & Security Fluid.

Rent can easily move around Malaysia. Treat like hotel stay.

With rent, can go between Malaysia and Thailand too.

Laws and legal can change anytime too.
