ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
To apply for admissions to the NUS MSc in Data Science and Machine Learning programme, applicants should possess a bachelor (Hons) degree or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in quantitative science (mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, statistics and physics) or engineering.

For applicants whose medium of university instruction was not English, they are required to demonstrate their English proficiency by possessing a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 580 (paper-based) or 85 (Internet-based), or a minimum IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic score of 6.0.

I dont think u can excel in AI without programming. Hard truth.
A lot of math algorithm to translate to program.

I don’t know if data science is overrated leh... nowadays so much emphasize on these... but how much demand is there ?

It is overrated :o

If chiu nose programming background chiu can forget about it :o the learning curve is very steep

I only know basic programming. I wouldn’t call myself programmer. Just newbie.

U in data science right? I think I saw one of the thread talking about data science

My background is in statistics... got touch a bit of programming... but now all return back to teacher Liao...

I dont think u can excel in AI without programming. Hard truth.

if you are high level in ml and data science and can't get a job then I think u living on mars. On earth u should command at least 7k or 10k plus easily.

Moi moving to management riao, too many wannabes is a red flag :o

Programming is the bare minimum, chiu need to be good in stats and math too

Most of the time is spent in data wrangling

rofl just google skill needed for data scientists. No need ji ji wai wai need programming skill a not.

If got experience then it’s another story.. of course can get

To be able to learn data science n be a data scientist,u need to learn machine learning, programming people usually use r and Python..r is more statically inclined but Python easier to use..Although it seems like my data scientists here prefer r over Python n the data analyst prefer Python over r

But the comment I receive is studying the course pretty useless..U get the experience from work n projects.

Of cos statistics knowledge must be there, the basic linear regression, random walk, tree diagram all these must know

Most impt still on job training n coding skill
