Anyone tried to sue the other party who hit your car?

Why insurance company can don’t cover? So does that means he drove without a valid insurance? Should this be a police case?
If other party does not report insurance, victim insurer contact other insurer, they wil say, "Nope, my customer didnt report so no case."
This is a loophole in the law i guess. It aint complusory.

Sometimes i really wonder with such loopholes, buy insurance for what? People dont report then u cannot claim liao.

I’m trying to do it so I’m asking for advice….:(
I ever though of this, the other party (if his fault) caused my vehicle to lose value as it is no longer an accident free car. Need to compensate my losses due to his act.

If car is totaled, and due to current high COE, I need to spend more for a new car. He needs to compensate my losses. If not because of the accident, I can drive my car for full 20 years or extend the COE.

Make it an injury case. TP come, he llst. Can't pull off this trick of not reporting.

Anyway, can file civil suit.
