i understand when u plug in to the pcie slot it should detect a drive so the sata port is for what purpose? connect 2 diff drive with the 2280 use sata as transmission?

weird though.. this is x4 but give u 2 m.2 slot.. like that won't bottleneck?

Maybe for additional power? Some ssd may draw too much power.

that i thinking the sata port is giving the 2280 a dedicated path....

wonder some expert who use such can advice.

the card m.2 one is for nvme and the other one is for sata.. you can zoom in to see the port cache is slightly diff..

i have the silverstone ECM20 card, similar feature.

1 of the slot is M key, using the pci-e interface. (NVME)
2nd slot is B key, using the sata port , connecting via a sata cable to the motherboard sata port. (M2 sata)

This card support both NVMe and SATA M.2. if you are using the SATA M.2 slot, you need to plug a SATA cable to motherboard SATA port.
