What are the pros and cons of using such a powerful gfx card inside a mini-ATX casing and do gaming for long hours as compared to normal tower casing? Thanks!

Size of case aside, I think it depends on what sorts of case you are looking at. If you get an airflow case, i.e. those that have mesh front and top, heat should not be a problem if you have good fans to pull and push the hot air out. The only problem is that you need to be mindful that some of these small cases may not fit in a big card like the RTX 3900/ 3800 and RX 6900/ 6800 series. So I recommend that you consider carefully.

The way you phrased the question suggests you already know the answer. In any case, the 3080 is huge so it won't be able to fit easily.

Mini itx you mean.

There's no mini atx per se, we have micro atx which suggests it is smaller than mini and that is the case, because the current atx sized cases used to be also called mini towers.

Used NR200 with Asus Strix 3090. Right but possible with some simple modding. Temps wise not that fantastic.

U have to remove the bottom frame to be able to flex the sides so your gpu able to install to mobo. After install gpu to mobo, then screw back the bottom frame.

Depending on the dimension and orientation of your case.

i can only fit 2x 15mm fans at the bottom.. therefore not a lot of static pressure compared to 25mm fans.

NR200 fits Sapphire Nitro+ RX6800 and Palit Gamerock OC. Tested both before, both are large cards and yes Gamerock need to remove bottom frame to install. Asus TUF 3080 fits good, Giga Gaming OC fits good too. Temp wise, if you use cards with GGDR6X (RTX 3080/90) it is bad. But with GGDDR6, it is very decent. 6800XT come nowhere near to thermal limit neither does 3070. Mesh side panel will improve thermal but no eye candy. Best thermal is remove all the panels. It's a pretty sturdy box shaped case like a test frame ;)
