Question. Android Auto needs u to plug in the phone to HU, so you lose fast charging capabilities right?
I'm looking for Android Auto Wireless HU so I can have fast charging still, units like Pioneer W4400NEX but Singapore doesn't seem to have it anywhere
I don't think Pioneer and even the latest 9150 usb port offers fast charge but since 9150 supports AA Wireless you may want to use it wireless and if so you can use another fast charger but a wireless fast charger is good enough and makes more sense since you will want to go completely wireless.
I have iOttie and Esoqi wireless fast charge mount and it can fast charge my S9+ at +/-1000mA and should be good enough to keep the battery at 100% during AA use as my Kenwood DDX917WS usb port also fast charges at about the same amperage.
Kenwood calls it Rapid Charge and is compatible to QC2.0 and Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge if I'm not wrong. However, even Kenwood 2018 APAC models still do not have AA Wireless (no Wireless Car Play too) which is really puzzling because their US equivalent 2018 models of the same specs already support both.
That been said, Wireless AA needs compatible phone and currently, only Google Pixels and Nexus series are supported. Support is still not appearing in non-Google phones despite earlier report saying Android Pie should make it available to all phones.
Also early adopters are saying there are slight lag and various connection bugs.
I read US models frequency don't support 0.01 adjustment so you may not be able to get all SG radio station.
