I've been using the Sonax car wash products for about a year or more.

Can share some knowledge and techniques here?

I wash car every 1 or 2 weeks, depending on how dirty it is.

How often should I be using the Spray and Seal?

Anyone using the Beast Wheel Cleaner? I'm currently still using the Xtreme Wheel Cleaner, but as my car is heavy, I get a lot of road dust, so it doesn't seem very effective in removing most of the brake dust. So thinking to switch to this one.

Can share exactly which product you use?

have seen a few online saying BSD is the best?
Sorry, what's BSD? :o

I was previously using the Active Ceramic Shampoo to wash, but after checking with the Sonax rep, was told to use the Gloss Shampoo as a cheaper alternative for normal wash. Use thr Ceramic shampoo every 1 month.

The Ceramic Spray I use every 3 months now. But usually by 2nd month the smoothness is not so good liao.

I am using Beast Wheel Cleaner, can effectively clean my rims, but after a week driving, the rim is dirty again. So some times I wonder if I should clean during every car wash.

I even use the Amourall Brake Dust Repellant after each wash. But by the following week, the brake dust accumulates again..

I'm driving an MPV, so I guess it's normal for brake dust to gather. But in just one week with so much brake dust, it's a bit insane. :ROFLMAO:

I use a detailing brush to clean the wheels and the nuts, they turn brown every time.

Hopefully my next brake pad change I can change to ceramic brakes which gives less brake dust.

Plus my rims are glossy black, so it can get very obvious. :(

I wanted to purchase the twin pack Beast Cleaner during the 2.2 Shopee promo, but the item sold out fast.

Not quick enough to get the item. :o

I am thinking to change to Mafra Rims and Tyres Cleaner to try.

Will await your feedback on its effectiveness!

I never bothered much about wheel cleaners in my previous vehicles as they were all non glossy gray.
Its only with this current set of rims that made me more OCD with the rims. :o

Sometimes , the issue is the brake pad. Too dusty.
I think should be most of the time! :ROFLMAO:

My previous ride's stock brake pads had this issue as well. And after I changed to Frixa brake pads (ceramic), the brake dust on the rims became lesser.

How hoping that the guy also have Frixa brake pads for my current ride as well. Then I won't have to be so anal about the rims. The rims cleaning actually takes a fair bit of time as well, with brush and all. :o

I'm using quite a number of their products - from their pail + grid guard / microfibers to active ceramic series of spray coating / shampoo / detailer. Super like their tyre gloss spray as it's easy to apply - spray on and let it stay overnight. Also their rubber gel / leather / interior detailer sprays but on far lesser frequencies.

The spray coating works well for a month or so under local conditions. It degrades quickly with harsh conditions e.g. continuous heavy thunderstorms for few days. The degradation can be noticed at the front door panels which lost the water beading during next wash. Got itchy handed at a point in time due to cost of the ceramic series, and tried Mothers CMX spray coating - in my case it performs worse in terms of durability than the Sonax version.

Just before CNY I applied their CC36 on my own. Following their recommended steps it took me 6 hours for application. Thereafter the car could not contact water as suggested for at least 3 days. I hope and expect this CC36 can last at least 6 months.

I had used it for around 30K. Couldn't tell the difference between the braking, but the brake dust was much lesser! I'll PM you the contact person. Can WhatsApp him to ask about the availability of your ride's brake pads. :)

Same! I got their pail with grit guard, bought their MF sponge and drying cloth. Even got their yellow sponge applicator for the Glass Intensive Polish!

On the week CNY, I spent 4 hours to wash and apply the Ceramic Spray. Tiring, but the shine and beading effect was amazing! Of course, the rain Iver that whole weekend was bad, but by the following week, the beading was still there. Damn good product!

Now I'm just wondering how often can I use the Spray and Seal. This one quite easy to use too. Wash car, spray onto wet body, and then rinse off. Beading is good for a while.

Those dust could be coming from the brake pad you using, Conti rides will have more this issue.

Or big and heavy cars. Both my previous and current rides have this issue.

Now that I wash it myself, I find it very annoying to see all the brake dust on the rims. Very unsightly. :ROFLMAO:

Can't wait to change to the ceramic brakes which gives less brake dust.

Ceramic brake pads the way to go. Still have brake dust, but lesser than other pad type.

been using Sonax products the pass 2 years. i wash roughly once every 2 weeks with Gloss Shampoo,
As my car got cermaic coating, usually car will be clean and glossy after every wash.

As for my rim, i'm using breast wheel cleaner once a month. Usually i will spray them onto the rims and proceed to wash the car exterior, after that will use the leftover gloss shampoo and wash the rims. As i'm on ceramic pads, my rim is not really dusty.

You can also try to track Sonax own webpage for promotion. Sometimes they have good deal on promo and they do free delivery for purchase more then $40.
