is washable HEPA meh?

also from their web

"Pre-Filter aluminum mesh traps bigger particles up to PM5.0. Using breakthrough A.G.E. Plate, Trident is able to achieve strong 99.9% absorption rate of small and aerosol particles, decompose ozone, eliminate smoke and odour. A.G.E Plate also produces a strong 4 – 8KV voltage charge that eliminates viruses and bacteria instantly by destroying the proteins and cells. Built-in 254nm UVC LED further sterilises the internal chamber of Trident system."

PM 5.0 only?

Use air purifier got what use

Not much use. During haze, you supposed to close all your windows and doors anyway LOL. And using the purifier when everything is open is useless. Of course nobody tells you this.

Also, no point using hepa cos these puny fans can't even generate enough pressure to force through the filter, if it is truly a hepa filter.

I don't own one, but this kind is not HEPA, coz there's no HEPA filter inside. They work by electrostatic attraction. I ever own a small electrostatic purifier, can see a layer of very fine dust (like smoke deposits) on the plates after running for a while. I don't doubt the effectiveness, just that you need to keep the electrostatic filter clean once in a while else no more new dust can stick to it. The PM 5.0 is talking about the prefilter not the electrostatic filter, which can remove stuff much finer than that.

Use purifier also must close windows lah.
Close windows is still not air- tight. So the dust still gets in
