They always said age of the mother is the issue, but abortion really takes a toll on mothers’ bodies and it’s hard to get pregnant in the future.

This goes the same as contraceptive pills. Which also come with other effects.

I did. Or kind of. I had suction at 7w6d but ultrasound prior to having the suction was unclear that there was even a viable gestational sac.

Around 6w + the ultrasound showed an irregular shaped sac with a dot in the middle. Doc don't think the pregnancy will continue and ask me to wait for miscarriage. I told him just abort because I didn't expect to get pregnant then. I did took alcohol, raw oysters, had big fall while hiking which hit my pelvic area, and lots of coffee. Even if pregnancy did continue, I didn't know if baby will come out healthy.

He asked me do 3 hcg tests which are inconclusive. Hcg levels did rise, but not quite to normal levels nor was it dropping to imminent miscarriage. To shorten period of uncertainty, I opt for abortion.

After which I'm not to have sex for at least 2 months to recover. I'm ready to try for baby after that, around 3 months after 2 months. I was pregnant.

I didn't take alcohol throughout after that abortion, no coffee, no raw seafood unless I was having period. However, I had miscarriaged at 7w3d. Didn't get pregnant for another 1 yr plus, despite trying. I went for check ups with my husband, all was normal. Doctor only said keep trying. I'm not going to give more details, because I don't wish to get too emotional.

Actually a weird shaped sac does not mean it is not viable.
Atill rem my gal one is triangular shape...
The u/s staff & doc also not optimistic.
But hcg results kept going up over few days & all went well.

I went for doctor appointment for abortion before.

Was 12 weeks pregnant then. Doctor said that it will be considered late term abortion since im already in 2nd trimester. Have to go through surgical procedure to remove fetus, not the simple vaccuum kind of abortion. There will be small chance that complications will occur, but very unlikely will happen. You know la, doctors all like to say this kind of things before they go through any procedure.

So back to your question, if complications happen during abortion, then in the future might have adverse effects on your health. Maybe want to get pregnant but cannot get pregnant anymore.

But I believe early stage abortion, if done professionally without any complications, your body will surely function the same way before. Because abortion after all is not a big operation.

But don't forget,actor Mark Lee and his wife tried for 8 years before they got a child. So... The ball is in your court now.

I completely agree with you. Abortion is never a walk in the park. You have to go through all the physical challenges and worse is the mental troubles. I suggest that you consult your doctor regarding the future complications that might occur. (I myself believe that there won't be any if you're handled properly by your doctor). Think hard about this and double think all your decisions. If you've finally decided to get rid of the baby, then make sure that you go to an expert/professional. If in case you haven't found an abortion doctor yet, I strongly recommend Dr Jen Shek Wei of Women's Clinic of Singapore. He has the softest of hearts I know and he'll really answer all your questions about abortion.

2 year old thread leh. Anyway it's not that she didn't want the baby, but rather the doctor told her that the fetus is likely not viable and asked her to wait for miscarriage, that's why she chose to abort.
