App Store CC/DC charges

Hi! I would like to find out why is there extra charges (bank charges) in the purchases I made from the App store? For example, if the in-game item cost $1.48, in my bank statement, it will be $1.52. I have checked with the bank and they said that the transaction was processed in SGD outside of Singapore. Apple has a company in Singapore and whatever purchase I made from the app store, there is also the 7% GST charge which is included in the $1.48. Would like to check if anybody faces the same scenario?

if buying app related stuff, use the itunes gift card, this will avoid all CC/DC extra charges due to exchange rate conversions.

Either use itunes gift card or AMEX.

Apple payment are processed in Ireland.

actually only itunes/app store/in-app payments are processed in ireland..

if you purchase hardware/products from apple store online, it will be processed in sg.

Didn't knew using Amex will avoid the CC charges for iTunes purchase

not just for apple itunes and in-app purchases, basically any credit card transactions that involves DCC. because AMEX does not support DCC.
