That’s what I heard when I went to istudio to enquire for the cards as well. According to the staff, it was under orders from MAS.

Kind of unfortunate because I’ve been purchasing iTunes card for my own use…

Yes, to stop scams.

I have been watching various YouTube channels on how scammers operate.

The usual MO for scammers overseas is to trick the victims into purchasing top up cards, to effect a transfer of funds.

However over here in Singapore, that’s not the usual MO.
Direct bank transfers are made.

So it is surprising that sales of such top up cards would be stopped.

Apple took back all the cards maybe due to scamming, or maybe someone ordered them to.

Believe now all through cards, no longer any account top up options? Do correct me if I am wrong.
You mean the likes of Visa, MasterCard? I don't want to let them earn bank charges for my in-app purchases. that's why i am searching for ways to top up my Apple account and deduct from there instead of using cards.

yes. Having banks as middleman(using debit cards to do in-app purchase), they will surely take some cuts(processing fee). I want to take out the middleman.
