I wish to appeal my latest infraction.

When others use the word "melons" with an action verb, to metaphorically describe a sex act with a woman's breast, it is fine.

But when I use it, it is somehow not fine. Double standards.

Here are 5 random examples how "melon" is used metaphorically by other users to describe a sex act.

No show melons no talk

Fapping non stop now

All sexual in nature. One even has a lewd action "fapping"; and it is fine. You can easily find this fapping word all over the forum.

But somehow when I do it, it is not fine.

There is nothing sexual or lewd with me touching my wife's breast. Every married man will tell you it is common. The Straits Times write about molest cases on a monthly basis, where a man touches a woman's breast.

Perhaps bbfas are jealous. If so, I can retract my post. Please consider removing the infraction points and accept my apology.

Please clarify your rules. A mod deleted my thread a few weeks back. I had started a thread with pics of a cafe in Korea. It is an innocuous thread that did not infringe any rule in EDMW.

This is the unofficial reply from a Mod. I assume he is referring to the reason why my Korea cafe thread was removed. The reason cited is we cannot post pic of strangers.

However, when others do it, it is fine.

I cannot understand why I am subject to a different standard.

Is moderation subject to a moderator's mood on a given day and to certain members or is it evenly applied to all members? Please kindly clarify.

I support you.

I was awarded NTUC points for something.

I pointed out why a certain person here kept doing the same thing, reported a few times over a few days, enough for that person to get banned, but nothing happened.

The same happened to me.

When others use a certain word "melon", it is fine. When I use it, I receive points.

I raised the issue. And the response is "Thanks for reporting it to us and doing the right thing. we have taken action on quoted posts"

I bet you nothing is done. At most, just removed their post. While I continue to receive points. Double standards.

The standard of moderation here is appalling and random. This gives the perception that certain users are unfairly targetted.

Suggestion to @Dragon
I suggest that Admins, not moderators look into this. It makes no sense that the Moderator who dealt with a case is tasked to answer for his decision in the Feedback Section. This opens up to abuse. A Mod decides everything himself.

Shouldnt a 3rd person look into the case, like how a proper Appeals Board work, a check and balance?

Admins and Moderators are well aware of your history, behaviors, and actions on HWZ Forums. From getting into arguments with other users to setting up a rival forum to poach our users, etc. And we have had lengthy discussions on whether you should even be allowed to continue participating on HWZ Forums.

Our actions and decisions above on your appeals may be conveyed to you by a single Moderator but it is always after team discussion and consensus with other Admins and Moderators. The Moderator also stated above to you that he had "Discussed with the mod team".

This is my last 2 cents on this matter and our final warning to you to stop further inappropriate behavior on HWZ Forums.

This is also called a prejudiced judgment against the moderation team .
Please familiarise yourself with how infraction points work; just because someone isn't banned doesn't mean no action was taken.

Dragon and I have both reviewed this, and all parties have received their due.

As stated by Dragon, all feedback is discussed prior to whoever is available to respond.
It doesn't mean it's not reviewed by peer moderators and other moderators/admins.

Things happen quite fluidly, just as feedback does.
We take great pains to ensure an update gets passed along - but not before it has been checked with other teammates.

@Dr.Vijay

Just want to point out that I’m not the only one saying the moderation here feels prejudiced.

That depends if one is willing to accept our reasoning or not -- this is the first port of call for all misunderstandings. We're not here to target anyone. The more frictionless the discussions, the merrier for everyone.

But if it's going against our content policy rules (and these are continuously being shaped as the code of online safety and other regulations evolve), along with any feedback that provides us better context as to why certain views are acceptable or not, all of this means we're continuously evolving our expectation of forum user participation, too.

What may not seem like an issue to you, will be for someone else -- this is something I've yet to see many users accept gracefully.

We hope users will respect our actions and decisions, guided by our rules and content policy.

Thank you.

We do not as a practice disclose actions taken towards other users. However you may @ the users that you have reported to enquire what had been taken towards their accounts. We assure you that the treatment is fair and there was no double standard. :)

Thank you @Dr.Vijay and @Intrinion for your replies. I appreciate each. I am a reasonable person if you follow my posts. I may not always agree with you over the years but I have always made it a point to be civil to you each. I am glad you have returned the civility today.

Thank you for sharing how Moderation works, that it is a team effort. Your explanations give us users a better understanding of the system.

My feedback is to show you how we users feel. That sometimes we feel targeted by random moderating. @Dr.Vijay you call it "prejudiced judgment against the moderation team". I call it how we users feel. Perhaps one day we can narrow the gap to understand each other's positions better.

I have no interest to compete with EDMW.

As a history, it all started when a certain lady user is given preferential treatment to be "revived" after a pban. Your forum did make an exception for her. Inexplicably, her accusations against me always stood. That is water under the bridge for me now.

I create content here, and if you know how social platforms work, I add value to you, not subtract. There is no need to see me as an adversary. I state my wish that I will like to see EDMW succeed. I reckon we are better off as friends and partners than adversaries and I hope you share the same sentiment.

Like many, I only ask that you treat us right, and be patient to explain to us users when we do not understand. And this, you have done. So thank you sirs. Have a good day ahead and I wish you both a wonderful 2026.

(I could not reply in my thread so please pardon this new thread or kindly merge this into my thread for record sake)
