Apple care advice

Hi all, im planning to get a macbook air. is it worth to get the apple care for the 3 year warranty? it cost another 300+ what are the chances of it breaking down?

any laojiao mac users can advice? thanks!

It's best to get Applecare unless you plan on using the MBA for only 1 year. You never know how suay you are in the future...

yes it is worth if u going to use it max 3yrs.
anything can happen.
for me my imac lots of problems. even changed lcd panel changed until gao gao to cover the applecare $ liao

I would get it. My current 2010 MBP is rock solid but the prior 2008 C2D racked up about 3-4 issues.

use it on macbook. with bloated battery problem and keypad. now still getting applecare again for my pro even though it is so ex.

Yes, you should get it. Shop around at the resellers as some do give a discount on the AppleCare if you buy the MacBook Air from them.

I would recommend that you buy it.

I had 2 different Apple items breaking down on me after 1 year i.e. my iMac and iPad2.

I didnt buy AppleCare for those two items. Now, every single Apple item I buy, I make sure I get AppleCare.

bought applecare. mba after 1 year logic board ($880) spoilt. got back got scratch on the back case, dent on top case & dent on near trackpad. they changed everything for me FOC. outlook and logic board all new. for me its worth it.

I never got any repair for my mac book for past 10 years (3 diff models)...
now using MBA for 1 1/2 yrs.... still no problems though i got it some scratches after few knocks.... i also never get apple care before.

nope. they changed all the affected parts for me only.

yup. but after they replaced the back case the serial number will not be there anymore.

u shd ask if can switch to the new iMac. in US they let them exchange..

i remembered many years ago when ipod shuffle first came out...i bought it from HK and then drop it into toilet bowl in my office in Spore.... they still do a 1-1 exchange for me without any question asked....
