Can I check the charger can be used for both iPad mini and iPhone 5?
Their cables seem to be the same unless the voltage is higher for iPad mini.
When you use ipad charger to charge your iPhone, it won't be 2.1A but 1A only. You won't be able to achieve shorter charging time for this.

May I know where you got that info?
i see the charger like no differences leh...
u mean iphone charger will charge faster than ipad mini charger ah?![]()
Not trying to get into arguement here. How do u know its 1.2amp to 1.3amp being pulled from iPhone instead of 2amp? From what I notice its feel(to my closest estimate) at least 50% faster if not doubled. Especially when it's charging from below 20%.There is not technical specs available on Apple Batteries ...
So for example, if the battery is able to pull 1.3A max and your using iPhone Charger, you get about 1A since thats what the charger can throw out
However, using iPad charger (2A output), will let the phone charge at about 1.2-1.3A (max) capability, hence there is a slight noticeable charging speed
Note, going from 1A to 2A charger does not mean iphone will charge in half time !!
Also note that using a higher amperage charger will produce more heat for charging battery since a lot of the current will dissipate into the surrounding as heat. The battery is protected by a circuit in the phone which only lets certain amount of Amp go in the battery (as per specs) , you cannot PUSH any amount as you like

Coming from my radio control background of battery knowledge I do know for charging many types of battery like metal hydride to lithium batteries, the current draw usually tapered off(lower) near the full state to prevent over charging.
Just curious about number people place in sometimes. Maybe I should do some test on both 5watts and 10watts charger from low 5% to 100%
can Ipad 3 charger and Iphone 5 charger be interused together too?
