personally i think carousell can fetch higher prices, just that you have to deal with a lot of potential trollers. ask and then go MIA.

managed to sold off my iphone 6 with faulty home button and touch id at 220.

Yes if you have the time and patience, definitely should sell at Carousell. Else for just $50-$100 lesser, can consider the buyback programme.

Just a friendly note, no spaces between the IMEI numbers when you copy paste from your iPhone “About” section from settings.

I tried checking on my phone and it said it didn’t accept my 8. But when I checked from my Mac it showed me that my 8 is eligible for trade in.

It didnt work when you copied the imei on your iPhone because you are missing 3 digits. When you copy from the settings there are 3 spaces, hence the last 3 digits will cut off.

I rather go for the buyback programme to skip the hassle and nonsense I get from some Carousell buyers.

Yes, especially if you are unlucky to meet some really lousy buyers. Not only waste time online negotiating prices with them, sometime get more nonsense when meeting them. Some really expect you to give them brand new condition phone at half the price. :s13:

Guys, how does BrightStar pay you? Transfer to your bank account right after collection?

Once you sent your device in, there is likely no U-turning back. If they assess and able to meet the initial quote then they will process the transaction. The only time when you have the choice to make a U-turn is when they need to deduct from the initial quote due to damage and etc. Even so, you have 14 days to accept or reject their revised offer. If not they will process it regardless and credit your bank with the revised amount.

Got these infos from the FAQ. Please check the website if there are changes made in their policy.

U can find the model number thru ur phone Apple watch apps, start with M.
