[FTV Breaking News] The iPhone foldable phone officially went on sale Friday, coinciding with a typhoon. Apple's own stores were closed and unable to fulfill orders; only large American-style retail stores remained open.

Some Apple fans lined up outside the stores as early as 2 PM the day before, braving the wind and rain all night, hoping to be among the first to buy the new phone. Because the initial batch of foldable phones this year is small, online pre-orders will almost certainly not arrive until the end of the year or early next year.
