After so many days after launch and so many reports of broken phones, still there are alot people in denial of all these and claiming all these are fake.

Apple has already acknowledged these issues. Design or manufacturing defect, it's an issue and it's real. There were reports of many people in Singapore returning the phone.

I would hope people can stop denying these things happened. These reports are not from influencers, but general consumers and even some pro-Apple reviewers.

Denying in 3..2...1.

actually ah...TBH most of u just too rely on the eco system liao....
OS aside, DUO's hardware n price cant really match android's folds.

imagine, we remove apple's OS n branding... this hardware + price + recent HADOIKEN problems and we add "NOTHING" to its brand...
this phone is a flock.

The iPhone Duo display failure controversy may be far more serious than we initially thought.

According to a report by Chinese media outlet Jiemian News, a Foxconn employee revealed that Apple had previously relaxed certain quality control standards to ensure sufficient iPhone Duo supply amid production constraints. This could mean that some devices that would have failed stricter inspections had a greater chance of reaching consumers.

Even more concerning, the Foxconn employee claimed that the iPhone Duo production line has already urgently replaced a batch of components in response to the reported issues. However, overall production and shipment plans reportedly remain unchanged.

Now, let's connect the dots.

Back in September, reports suggested that the iPhone Duo's final assembly yield was only slightly above 60%, with the hinge and display being major manufacturing challenges.

Fast forward to today. Less than a week after its official launch, multiple users have already reported cracked inner displays and other screen failures.

This raises a serious question:

Did Apple already know about these potential quality risks before launch, but decide to accept a higher failure rate in order to maintain its initial shipment targets?

If the Foxconn employee's claims are confirmed, this could become a much bigger controversy.

Apple needs to explain exactly what quality standards were applied to the first batch of iPhone Duo devices, and whether potentially defective units were allowed to reach consumers.

For a device this expensive, customers deserve transparency.

They insisit on no hinge protection, while other android manufacturers have a protection on the hinge. No wonder the ceo called android cheap. But now, see all the issues happening

dont talk about screen crack.

the sand test also fail jialats.
this iphone duo design ish jin jialats

The Apple iPhone Duo struggled during sand and dust durability tests—most notably in JerryRigEverything’s stress test—where coarse sand and debris worked past the titanium hinge's seals, causing it to crunch, bind, and jam so badly that the magnetic closure could no longer shut the phone properly. [1, 2]

Key Details from the Sand & Hinge Test:
    • Hinge Ingress: Despite Apple's IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating, coarse dirt and sand entered the titanium hinge mechanism during real-world simulation tests. [1]
    • Mechanical Jamming: Debris caused the hinge to bind, crunch, and leave the device permanently wedged partially open because the internal magnets were overwhelmed. [1, 2]
    • Screen & Water Resilience: While the device continued to function and survived baseline water or beach-wash exposures, the physical compromise of the hinge mechanism and a separate extreme bend test (which caused permanent green lines and display failure) led reviewers to cite the hinge as a vulnerable point. [1, 2, 3]
when open up, the hinge is full of debris and sand...it will jamm the gears eventually

I suspect that Apple knows the problem right at the start. At Apple shop, the staff will ask custoner to buy Apple care.

Apple needs kum gong to fund their repair program and people fell for it.
Even before iPhone Duo, I think they will physco everyone to buy Apple care ba
