Apple has gone a long time without making significant changes to any of its Mac models, with most experts encouraging customers to hold off all but essential new purchases until the lineup was updated. Tops among the rumors have been reports that Apple will introduce a new MacBook Pro sporting a row of customizable touchscreen keys.

Have been looking forward to this for quite a while.

Will skip the iMac if there 'is no major design change (already on Late 2015 Skylake) but gonna hoot the rMBP 13 to replace the Early 2015 version ... thinner and lighter ftw !

Hopefully can get it before my late Nov business trip.

somehow i wish that they keep the SD slot since I use it to expand my storage by having a SD card in there permanently.

they need to fix the rubber feet for the mbp. the rubber feet for both my old mbp mid 2010 and rMBP early 2015 started to fail when reaching the 1 year mark. fail as in it is starting to break, i guess it is because of the heat?

the only problem is many OEM doesn't have the courage to adopt usb-c only. otherwise the transition will be a lot faster.

Apple has always been obsessed with thinness and lightness so expect the new MacBook Pro to be thinner and lighter. As for the keyboard, guess user just have to get used to it. Personal preference for me.

Most importantly, I hope it will have a larger trackpad which can support Apple Pencil and adopt all USB-C port with Magsafe-like USB-C charging port.

***PS: In case you didn't know, MacOS Sierra 10.12.1 has the option to remap the Escape key to a physical hardware button.

i like the idea of pencil support via trackpad. it helps to annotate documents much easier too without needing a touchscreen. right now i usually send to my iphone to do it.

while the rMBP is already decently light, but if you are bringing it around everywhere almost everyday, then the weight can be a burden. the only relief is that i don't bring my charging adapter out. as long as the battery life doesn't become thinner, it is still acceptable for me.

I can't wait for these to drop - Macbook Pros are waaaaay overdue! I'm really digging the new OLED touch bar, but not a fan of the new butterfly keyboard switches. They are a pain to type on after a while.

And I do like the idea of Apple Pencil with trackpad. But I wonder how will we charge the pencil since rumored MBP comes with 4 USB-C and no Lightning Port.

If it's gonna come with another dongle. No thanks.
