Apple products in Tokyo

I'm interested in getting a macbook pro and iphone in Tokyo. I read online that Apple products in Tokyo are cheaper than in Singapore and there is 1year international warranty.

But my friend say warranty is local only ah, anyone got experience in purchasing these electronics in japan?

Bought from Osaka many years ago ipad mini.
The saving = - GST ( Japan & Singapore ) & if
lucky , pricing + currency rate.

but normal storee vs each other than 7% minus..

now i thinking should i go hk or tokyo buy iwatch 3 for my mrs

Currency fluctuation & pricing difference are extra bonus.
If not , it is already (GST) -7% off.

If you are honest to declare it at airport, then
no difference .

Japan got 8 percent sales tax, right?

Long time never been there. Last time was only 5 percent

I read there's also credit card mayb 5-10% cheaper as well.

So end up 5%(CC) + 7%(GST) + currency diff.

End up quite alot of diff uh?

checked for warranty - as long as you buy apple care +, then phone can be serviced in SG no issue.

So all in price similar with SG, just that u get 2 years warranty n accidental dmg replacement. Quite a good deal I say.

i bot my ipad mini 2 from jb also...apple care sg..

got one time they free upgrade for me to now mini 3...

Heard that Japan-bought iPhones can’t turn off the camera shutter sound even if you use outside of Japan with non-JP sim card.
