Hi guys, let me reiterate. Unlike yesteryear, we had 1-1 exchange with telcos or QCD if your phone genuinely had issues or you tried hard to create issues when they were not there just to get it exchanged for any reasons.

Now, they will repair or service if they can do it , otherwise they do 1-1 exchange. It all depends on the severity of the issues at hand.

Now they are smarter in the way handling the cases, after all the complain, like I did for my 4s regard to poor battery life, they did not want to change for me, the service center have all dianosagtic tools to check and will tell u whether can it be change or not....

Before my apple care end, just b4 1 month, I send in for full checkup, then they told me that my phone get hardware problem and pass me a new ip4s, which likely can last me another 2 years, and since I intend to keep my 12g plan, I might drag longer than 2 years

i think it depends on the issue one... I just had mine exchanged recently, after TS said that thye dont do exchange anymore.

Also it doesn't hurt to be nice and understanding to the CSO and not demand things. They will try to help you if you are polite to them.
would have preffered it.
Actually, it isn't so bad if they repair...Refurbs may give you a different set of issues. I exchanged my set thrice before I got a decent one. and I have to waste so much time at the service centre. Also, the skin that I so painstakingly applied is gone. If they could just change the LCD for me, i would have preferred it.

My iphone 5 qualifies for the 'on' button replacement program. how long does it take for the button to be replaced?

If screen got clicking sound, can they reseat the screen? Or they will change another iphone?

First time was dead pixel.

Second time was the screen was not seated properly, it makes a clicking sound when I touch the screen

They wanted to reseat it but I insisted for a change. Spend over half an hour persuading them before they finally gave in.

LOL if i were you i rather they reseat it. At least you know the phone is okay other than the screen issue. And its not a refurb phone. :s12:

It was already a refurb in the first place after the dp issue. Read.

And there is no way of telling if it will be well seated since it is so noisy there. Rather take a sealed set that passed internal qc. I'd rather not waste more time queuing again for the same issue.

Edit: btw, they said there is no guarantee that the screen will not click anymore after reseating. Their stand is they just 'try to help me' and that to me is unacceptable.

No idea bro, this issue never happened to me before. You might just wanna call the service center up to enquire about it. :)

They change a new set from white box for me yesterday.

well this is good news.. whats seems to be the problem from your previous iphone?

i bought my iphone few days ago but i just realized that right now i cant make any phone calls
my microphone wont work at all and i cant hear any voice from the other end
another problem, my earphone jack wont work as well. tried plugging my earphone but the sound only came out from iphone speaker, not the headset
by any chance i can have AASP replace my iphone with new set?
whats my best bet? QCD or A.LAB? whats the different between those 2?
any help greatly appreciated
thx
