It really depends how you perceive it to be. I remembered the Blue Titanium sets on display also had similar headlines but not hearing any personal devices that get the same scuffs.

so far i see those cases are naked on the camera bump. very limited cases have fully covered to protect.
Even the cases that i bought from TB also open camera bump.

I think as long as you put it in a case if you want to use MagSafe accessories, you should be quite safe, get protections! I’ve seen how some ppl were handling the phone, they just anyhow slide the phone, knock the phone. I think the 17 series is 1 of the biggest update to the iPhone, I’m happy with my iPhone 17 Pro Max so far ~

Some people just have itchy hands.. they handle the phone roughly or even scratch it on purpose...

I think this is one of the Apple marketing tactics, to give you a feel that they are fulfilling your orders earlier than your expectations and giving themselves some allowances in case there’s really delay due to unforeseen circumstances.

what I am surprised was that aside from day 1 collection, I had went down again to different store a week later for collection and were told by both staff I can do an exchange for different color or capacity within the return window as long as phone are not damaged and done the clean reset.

Agree. I think they purposely want to create the hype that we have to wait longer. Typical marketing tactics.
