Apple TV (3rd gen) - Airplay icon missing

Hope someone could help.

I have an Apple Tv connected via ethernet cable to my M1 Huawei (fibre) wireless router. To be sure, I did not enable Firewall in my router.

I cannot seems to get the 'AirpPlay' icon on my Apple devices such as my Iphone, Ipad and Macbook permanently available.

I could only get the 'Airplay' icon appear by rebooting the Apple TV. It is getting tiresome having to do this every time I want to stream via Airplay.

I have visited Apple support community and googled around but could not resolve the issue. Am wondering if it is specific on M1 Huawei router.

Are you guys facing similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

try power cycling the network, ie not just the apple TV but also your huawei router

Weird because as long on same wifi network will have airplay

I suspect problem is failure by the M1 Huawei router in assigning specific IP adresses to the iDevices. There are 3 Iphones, 1 iPad, and a Macbook sharing the same wireless router.

But how to fix this?
