Apple wallet for condo card

So you know those condo access cards?
the other day I saw a boy open the door using his phone but I was a bit paiseh to ask him how he set it up.
I’ve been googling etc but can’t find a way to add it. Does anyone know how to?

Wouldn't it be quicker if you asked your MCST? or Perhaps the guy placed his access card behind his phone in his phone case?

Yup it's most probably rfid card. I find it extremely unlikely for any condo mcst to adapt NFC door/gate unlock. Unless TS talking about unit's digital lock, then there is the possibility

Ask your condo for what condo app they hav signed up for. Use that app to unlock. its by bluetooth.
But no point la, coz the app cannot activate the lift system.

The boy's parents most likely didnt give him a card, in case lost. He will have to go to lift lobby and intercom his parents.

you probably should ask your MCST then. it's anybody's guess when there is lack of details.

Why no approach the boy and ask him how and what he did?

Years ago i also saw someone tap his phone on the lift to go up without using his condo card.
I tried putting the card on the back of thr case but it can't detect so i think it's something to do with adding the card to an app like Apple wallet.
I also want to know the condo card is a hassle to bring sometimes forget the card have to intercom

maybe the type of case matters. like the material. and the thickness

Haha that's why I asked him how he look like and whether will he be suspected of anything or not first.

You can check with your condo management. Chances might be the lock they use support home kit or are matter compatible lock. Then you can use your home kit app to set up.

Not about me, more like the TS getting reported to the kid's parents/security. IYKYK what I am trying to get at.

I was bz carrying my baby and holding all the bags haha. I only know I saw the boy - confirm no card behind phone and opened up a wallet looking app and the door opened.

but he may have been using android lol this one I not sure.

but my condo is damn old, not the new fancy type and definitely not up to date with tech

maybe go ask MCST when free. Just thought maybe can ask here see if anyone know. Condo card and work pass is the last two physical cards that’s forcing me to use a card wallet

But I got confused, thought is NFC. You guys are right it is 99% RFID.
Maybe it was an android phone that could copy rfid and create a digital card.

I dunno about iPhone... but I know Samsung pay (now Samsung wallet) may have this option ... you can store the loyalty cards or membership cards and call out virtually to tap and/or scan the hp screen instead

i used to put my card in between dbrandz skin and used it seamlessly. I have seen before in China that they can that electronic condo card for you. But not sure how it works.
