Do u store ur card in Apple store app ? U can try to remove from there

My Apple store apps is my Amex card...
This is the Apple wallet for Apple Pay ...
Even I remove these 2 cards, when I want to add, it will appear ....

They are part of iCloud backup ... if you restore phone fresh and DO NOT restore backup then you won't have them

Nope, cannot be.

I set up my ipad n iphone as new.
Still see the same as what the thread starter did.

Weird thing is, I always add 3 cards, but only 2 will shown there.

I have off the iCloud for Apple wallet ...

What if I terminate my card ? It’s very irritating to appear as recommended cards ....

Yes i find it annoying as well. I did talk to apple about this. They say it cannot be removed and it will stay there as its tied to your apple id. They suggested to submit a feedback for future enhancements. So in conclusion, no it cannot be removed. Just dont authorise the card.

You can try this method but logging to your Apple ID from here:
https://appleid.apple.com

And Remove All? You can try and let us know if it works.

having more cards doesn't mean rich ... LOL...
some seldom use.. for discount or rebates purpose.....

Well, hopefully it allow us to remove it in future.
If not few yrs later, we need scroll down while adding card to wallet.

All the expired or cancelled cards. HAHA

At Apple Wallet - Add Credit Cards > Continue > You will See the screen.
