Quite frustrated with the watch. do you get delayed notification on the watch? ie, the phone already receives the notification, eg. ibanking pin, but it will only show up on the watch several seconds or minute later, making the notification useless.

when i was using the garmin fenix, the notification actually showed up same time or even faster than the phone.

how to improve this?

agree. its delayed. not sure if same with S4. but now it gets pointless since u always lookout for phone notification as the watch lol

U using singtel or starhub? Starhub doesn't seems to support sms when using cellular. Bluetooth got no issue with sms.

Depends on your use case. For me LTE comes in during gym time so I can receive messages or calls without me having to bring my phone around. Since it’s mainly text messages it’s really very little data. Battery not much impact

Saw that apple "seems" to drop the price of Watch 3. Had not use or own a apple watch due to high price.


1st timer user here. Still worth getting Watch 3? (hardware very outdated?)

Series 3 is still a very good watch. Better than most smart watch out there in fact. Unless you need ECG function else Series 3 will suffice.

I’m on the fence too, but given this price drop, and the unfavourable reviews of the Fitbit Versa 2, I really think the series 3 is a better buy now

Series 3 is still a very good watch. Better than most smart watch out there in fact. Unless you need ECG function else Series 3 will suffice.

Just got an Apple Watch 3 LTE, in the initial setup it prompts for software update but always indicate no internet.
Anyone face this issue too? I haven’t even gone past the initial stages so I can’t even “use” the watch at all! Chatted with 3 different Apple support officers and tried their methods still failed... ( reboot, restart, put on charger etc)
Anyone can share how u connected?

Why buy series 3 when you can get series 5

I reckon cause not everyone want to spend that amount for a S5 and are content with what S3 can offer. And that’s what Apple recognises too and continue to make S3 available.

Apple usually supports their products for about 5 years from the day it was released. If you look at the chart below, you'll notice that an iPhone released since 2015 are still receiving the latest software updates from Apple.

If you visit the watchOS 6 page, you'll observe a similar pattern.
Apple Watch Series 1 was released on 2016, and so far, they are still receiving software updates to date.

However, I would recommend against purchasing a Series 3.

Been using AW3 since Dec17 everyday. Battery life has definitely gone down, especially with LTE turned on. Any idea if it’s worth to change the battery and where to get it done cheap?
