my thoughts exactly

Then next time when u wanna sell watch for new watch, u must provide that loop instead of the sport bands cos that box put loop mah. Unless u specify to that buyer that u selling watch with sport band and not loop lor. So, my way is keep your current purchase, buy loop separately. Next watch u can use back the same loop which is quite lasting also.

Actually the soft white sport band is better i dunno why they put white sport band for series 4...

cos i won’t be using a white sport band once i confirm that i am not returning, will go to carousell to buy a black sport band

Cos I read somewhere that it need wifi. Kinda of confused. I must have misread it.

Certain telco support wifi calling. Then wifi for Apple device also make use of nearby Apple devices (connected to the same wifi network) to make and receive calls. Something like that but I dunno how to explained it in details.

For me, I turn off the wifi on my watch as I wanna to use only LTE when I leave my phone at home for charging while I bring my other phones out.

The hierarchy for connection modes of the cellular AW is BT —> wifi —> LTE. If you’re using wifi at home but turn on LTE on the watch and wifi off, and at the same time remain connected to yr iPhone via BT, the watch will still use BT connection. If you move somewhere out of the phone’s range, wifi will automatically turn on in the watch and try to receive your home’s wifi signal. If unsuccessful, LTE will kick in.

Likewise if wifi on your watch is turned on while LTE is off, moving out of range from your phone will just trigger the watch to attempt a connection to your wifi netowrk, else will just remain disconnected with a red ‘x’ on top of the screen.

IMO, Stepsapp = Pedometer++

Stepwise is better in complication (bottom left). It’s show distance.

Fall detection activation

You already said flick hard and Apple Watch uses the accelerometer and gyroscope to measure the force in which in your case, might have really actually activated the fall detection. People tumbling and falling might not be unintentional so as to test out the fall detection feature. The force the generate might not be exactly great enough to cause the accelerometer and gyroscope to measure. If it does, they might actually hurt themselves in the process.

This is to share with those who use the fall detection feature on AW. The fall detection on my watch comes on most times when I flick my arm hard or sometimes moderately hard. This has been happening since I did that on 17 October when I first got the watch. I have made a report to Apple Support. They were non committal as to the cause and only said it is surprising that it happens so frequently so many times. They will monitor my watch and will inform me of their conclusions when completed.
I like to ask if anyone out there have this experience? Especially for those senior folks like me who uses this fall detection feature.
Perhaps some kind folk can put this feature on and try flicking their arm hard to see if this triggers the emergency alarm. Please let me know if it does on this forum.
As a side note, actually it is better for it to trigger than not. If false alarm, I just tap I did not fall! Thanks much.

I've never bought any AppleCare for any of my Apple products owned, no need for it too.

According to the Apple staff, the ss will scratch easily. The glass screen will not get scratched easily but high chance of breakage if drop.

Scratches on SS, similarly to other more expensive luxury mechanical watches, shows off its character. Yes though we love it to remain flawless but not possible, even with a case on. Sometimes the case itself and the dusts it traps internally will also scratch it.
