Is it true that the display on the stainless steel version appears to be more wash out than the aluminum version in bright light? e.g.: under the sun.

Can Apple Watch configure to wear on right hand?

Yes you can configure to any side of the wrist and in whatever orientation you like.

Not true. However, the reflection from the polished stainless steel will make you perceived that the OLED display is not as bright.

Finally got my Apple Watch with a couple of 3rd party bands :s13:. The initial boot up took quite some time. Update to 3.2.2 took quite long even for a watch OS. Freak me out I thought it brick :s22:

I got the stainless steel version and surprisingly can feel the weight on the wrist. Maybe I didn't test long enough and too many people at the Apple store distracting my attention. Will need sometimes to get use to it.

The 3rd party black milanese loop colour is darker than Apple milanese loop. I prefer Apple's loop colour but price too ex already :(. The leather loop from 3rd party one also not as soft as Apple original loop. It still feel good :). Have to live with it, I checked some online videos and review claim that Apple's leather loop worn off after a few months. For that price, i guess it's not worth the risk.

So for Whatsapp, only can receive notification but can't read the actual message right? Line app can't see picture?

You set your Whatsapp preview as private on your phone?

I don't find any preview option in the privacy tab. I found the show preview option in the notification tab. Turn it on and can see full message on the watch. But now iPhone notifications also show the messages instead of names only.

Anyway now I can see the messages on the watch and do simple reply, thanks =D

Hi guys. Can I check if the Series 1 & 2 can function without Bluetooth? Say if I paired with my phone with Bluetooth but at times if I don't turn on Bluetooth on my phone, can the watch function as a watch as in show the right time and etc?

Also is there any option to turn off the Bluetooth on the watch itself?

Not sure on your second question. But your watch will still be able to tell the time and perform some functions even if you off the Bluetooth on your phone.

AFAIK the only way to turn off Bluetooth is airplane mode.

How do we prevent notifications from occupying the main watch face? Say if I get a notification and few minutes later when I raise my wrist to see the time, the notification takes the space and I've to manually clear it.

Is there any settings tweak to allow notifications (like display red dot) but disallow those popup ones in the main screen?

for me ... when i go running .. my phone is in the locker .. so its definitely out of range with the watch .. i still can start/stop timer ... the interval trg app that i use on the watch .. still works ..

as for whether can turn off bluetooth from the watch, i usually just turn on flight mode on the watch to d/c from the phone.

There's no way to turn Bluetooth off from the watch.

The 'charging for how many hours for first time' theory is already an ancient one. Just charge to full and you're ready to go.

For those lithium ion or polymer battery, I doubt people nowadays will "charge for numbers of hours"... unless they are those Nickle Cadmium days...

Though I do not have an apple watch yet. So far, for my other devices, if still have battery life even when at unbox, I will either set it up or play for a while before leaving it to charge.
