Is there a big difference between 38mm and 42mm? Got an offer for 38mm at $350. Don't know if I should bite the bullet and get it.

Depends on your wrist. Small wrist then go for 38mm. The display to me does make a huge difference in terms of clarity from my viewing distance to the screen.

I would say best if you go try it on at the Apple retailers. Most premium resellers if not all should have them available to try on.

A brand new product is like that, of course when time goes by it gets lesser people but sometimes till now I still do see quite a few people at various stores trying out the AW.

The replacement watch (38mm SS) I got a couple of weeks ago from the warranty claim is already busted. The button is stuck half the time resulting in the watch being unusable and always trying to use Apple Pay or switch off. Took it back already to service centre. Not impressed given how long it takes me each time to go there, wait, drop it off, etc.. then come back a week later, etc.

I know I'm very late but I managed to get a BNIB 42mm space grey aluminum with sports band for $365! Charging it now and can't wait to play with my new gadget.

I charge daily but that's because I don't want to be left dry should I work very late the next day - if I were to turn it off when I"m going to bed rather than charging it, it should last me the next day.

Anyway another issue - the back of my Apple Watch is coming off (well the one I bought my missus). It's a stainless steel model but the back plate which touches the sensor comes off every now and then and we have to click it back in... looks a bit odd. Anyone else had this fixed in Singapore?

(my problem is I bought it at the Apple Store in Sydney Australia)

Facing exactly the same issue... My 42mm SS AW's back charging plate came off as well. Brought it in to QCD and was told repairs will be by Apple's own discretion. Waited for about close to a week and fortunately gotten a replacement in the end.

Good thing is watch comes back feeling brand new again with an extension of 3 months warranty. Have yet to wear it since I've just only received a new pair of nylon straps today, but will try them out over the next few days to see if there are any issues... :o

their shop in vivocity. just order from website and go down n pay cash/nets
stainless steel models going for just 400-500+

Those are EOL models i believe. still a good price to buy at.

a little digging reveals that they are an APR. Probably clearing old stocks.

From speaking with both QCD and A Lab, as well as online, this seems to be quite a common/well known issue. Something to do with the glue weakening. I would have been very annoyed though if they said because I kept using it when the glue had weakened, and water had gotten in, that my claim was denied... but fortunately it is not the case.

I also got a replacement one but despite being a 'new unit', the button was stuck/spoiled so it's already back at A Lab now.

Some really good prices there. If I didn't already own two, and think a new one was coming soon, I would definitely buy for those prices.

Apple Watch + Catalyst Watch Case - Aye or Nay?

Hey guys, I'm taking my first foray into smartwatch territory, and am thinking of buying an Apple Watch.

So far, do you think it's worth it? Do you think I should wait for AW2, or just hoot AW1?

Also, it seems that there are so many Apple Watch accessories - such as this Catalyst watch case that is impact and water proof. Anyone has this, and if so, can give any reviews?

If it's good, I will want to get both of them! :) Thanks a lot in advance for your advice!

I am planning to buy the 38mm. What is the wifi and bluetooth range based on your experience?
