Looks like this is gonna end up being a costly purchase.

42mm stainless steel case with link bracelet: $1,458
Milanese loop: $218
Blue leather loop: $218
Brown leather loop: $218
Beige leather loop: $218
Pinkish beige modern buckle: $368
Magnetic charging cable: $48
TOTAL: $2,746

SH*T!! I could buy an iMac for that kinda price! Maybe I should aim for fewer straps. But the desire to match straps to my clothes is irresistible! :s13:

At least if Apple allows these straps to be used on Watch 2 or even Watch 3, still ok. Imagine blowing over $1,000 on straps that only work with Watch and can't be used on Watch 2. Can bang balls sia!

Like people who bought tons of accessories for iPhone 4 and found they couldn't use them at all when iPhone 5 came out thanks to the lighting port.
Would you consider getting clone straps? It cost a fraction of the originals.

But I feel that don't have to buy all the straps. I'm still current using the black sports band on my 42mm SS as I can't wear leather due to perspiration and irritation to the wrist, some more the metal link bracelet is $668!

Honestly the sports band is pretty good and very water-resistant. The charging cables are also available at Nubox Tampines Mall in both 1m and 2m lengths.

Perhaps we shouldn't spend too much on the Apple Watch since it's a first model? The next gen ones should be more worth it since it should be better with improved internals and a FaceTime camera. :s11:

Wah respect. I guess it's "one cent money one cent goods" when buying apple stuff. Well spent

Stuck? I don't understand how a strap can get stuck while removing. Where did you hear that from?

I actually fear 3rd party strap getting stucked when removing becoz I saw the mechanism on 1 qoo10 page it's like the spring inside the strap end so I really worry if the spring spoil cannot slide it out ;(

That's why originals are best.

The link bracelet is nice, but at $668 it's pretty pricey. For me I don't mind getting this provided it can be supported for at least 2 generations of watches but we never know how straps compatibility will be for the 2nd gen Apple Watch. Hence I'm waiting for some good link bracelet clone to be out :)

I wonder how costly repairs will be once warranty is over. I guess that's one problem with a smart watch.

I don't think the watch has AppleCare but confirm has AppleCare+ if that was what you mean. Getting next month bah.

I finally resolved my activate on wrist raised problem liao. The solution was super simple and it happen right after my call to apple helpline (conspiracy theory how come suddenly can). I was going to prepare to head to A.Lab when it suddenly worked while putting on my watch.

How i solved it by just shifting the watch high up my arm by 1cm and it worked like a charm.

Another point to note is that express replacement is only available to people with AppleCare+.

Very tempted to buy OMG, the amount of details put into designing the watch from materials to software implementation is :D

What really drawn me to it is how they present and illustrate it on Apple's website. When I saw it in person on launch day, it was game over. :deg:
