better lay, then no need to keep purchasing different AppleCare+ for every device.

Consolidating all the AppleCare to one is much more efficient to manage.
Otherwise, need check and verify for different devices, damn lehceh.

Ya, I really hope Apple brings this outside of the US. I think Singapore should minimally get it.

There’s a couple of limitations that limits its cost effectiveness.

Tie in to a single Apple ID, so it would make sense only if you have the more expensive devices.

I’ve not tried it but based on the t&c, once you change the Apple ID, you have 24 hours to reinstate it before it’s no longer eligible for AppleCare+. Can add into another Apple ID’s AppleCare One though.

you need to get a new device in order to set up the first AppleCare one account, after which you can add any device age less than 4 years for an unspecified period of time.

personally, if you hand me down iPhones every one or two years, it makes sense to get the Singapore 2 years copy, then when it expires you can get additional AppleCare for it.

Actually if u happen to have a credit card tagged to a US address, you can get the AppleCare one or the AppleCare+, both of which is tied to a single AppleCare ID, which to me is not good as I can’t find a clause that says I can transfer the AppleCare to someone else, though it does allow for unlimited renewals either case.

So it may not a good thing to everyone to have the AppleCare one….. I personally prefer the current AppleCare+ sg for my iPhones so when I hand it down to my kids they can continue to extend the AppleCare.

The bad thing (I think) about the AppleCare+ sg was that I believe we can only extend it for a year…… didn’t see anything in subsequent renewal, so not as robust a solution as the us version.

idea ah if one have US credit card/card with US address, means one is able to get the better AppleCare options available for US only.
But whether it covers globally need to check T&C liao.

It does. Only issue is you can only get the one with thefts which costs a bit more. After the update, I think the coverage for theft is now worldwide. Coverage for AppleCare plus is no different from buying from Singapore.
