Hi guys, I am wondering if AppleCare covers exterior damages? My macbook has some scuff and dings. Since I bought it 2nd hand do I need proof of purchase of the AppleCare too?

Correct me if I am wrong, AppleCare doesn't cover cosmetic damages? I think ask the Apple shop. Have you registered AppleCare for your macbook with your Apple ID?

I read that the new AppleCare+ does cover but you have to pay a service fee, I bought it 2nd hand from someone so I'm not sure but checking the serial it says my macbook is covered under AppleCare.

cosmetic damage is not covered under AppleCare for mac.

https://www.apple.com/sg/support/products/mac.html

It is unlike iPhone, which you can replace at a fee for up to twice a year.

Oh btw, AppleCare+ and AppleCare are different. AC+ is only for phones/ipads/watches. Mac is still AC.
