Hi all, I have just bought a new 2018 MBP from Apple Orchard, but I find that the 8GB RAM is not really sufficient for my usage and it's slowly the laptop down..

Will I be able to return to apple, and pay more to get a 16GB RAM version?

Yes. within 14 days.
Just politely explain the reason, they'll be more than happy to help.

Oh I see!! Do I need to pay restocking fee? Because after I called them they didn’t really give me a solution. Just kept wanting to arrange appt at Genius Bar

my recent experience was I've return my MBP 15" they've accepted it without questions but the credit was only return to my cc after a week...

I've also tried if I can straight away exchange it for 13" but they couldn't do so, So i guess you might need to wait til you get your refund or like me pay it separately and just wait for refund on earlier return items.

Also 16gb in MBP 13" is custom last I've inquire they said have to order online for this type of configuration.

1-1 exchange is only for the same price tag. U can 1-1 exchange a different colour if you have the face to ask for, which some people did any way..

If there’s a difference in price tag, the process is to return the old one and buy in full the new model.

Yeah the refund on cc takes a couple of days because bank side is slow in that..

Just return it. Don’t worry about the fees. You won’t be charged for anything if you return within 14-day period.

Thanks. So I can directly return to Apple even if I bought online from Lazada as long as it is with the 14days period?

You can give it a try?
I believe only Apple accepts returns provided it's purchased directly from them. All the best.
