Yes. The application fees are usually non-refundable regardless of your application outcome.

I can't say for certain, but application to most universities should require a fee.

Even local universities require application fees. :)

What's your grades like? O level 6 pt A levels all As or dip all distinction? Plus Stellar CCA even ivy is easy.

Without that every uni is hard, it's scholarship, by definition scholar isn't avg joe.

U can apply to read in Germany, Finland fees is under sgd$2k a yr

Taiwan unis are very easy. But of course, the branding wouldn't be there. You didn't state what's your criteria, so I answered your question based on what you are looking at -> ease of scholarship application.

If u look at universities in taiwan outside the top 20, should be quite easy to get at least a partial scholarship. No need stellar grades. Normal school fees are also pretty cheap.

I think the application fee serves as a deterrence for junk applications.. Eg. Without the fee, everybody will spam all the unis and then they will get very busy trying to filter the genuine ones. Of course also to cover the admin costs to process yr app.

If it's going to be refunded, then it defeats the purpose.
