Apps not restored on new ip6 using iTunes

Hi I was trying to restore the back up I did for my wife's iPhone 4s but as I set up her new iPhone 6, all the apps did not restore.
The rest of her stuff like photos and contacts and SMS did.
What could be the reason? Need some expert to guide here. Thanks.

You may want to click on Sync (again) in iTunes. If you restore via iCloud, may need to redownload the apps from the App Store. (Have to confirmed again)

did u sync yr app library before e update? if not e apps r not backed up in e iTunes backup. on e other hand, iCloud backup does not backup apps only e app data of apps selected in e config settings. but it makes yr phone go download e latest versions from e AppStore during e restore.

Did not use iCloud at all. Purely iTunes.
I clicked on the option "back up all apps" before syncing leh.

Check whether in your computer iTunes folder, are there IPA apps file.
If no, most likely is did not transfer purchase.

go itune and plug in ur device and go to file/devices/transfer purchased.

if u still donno . there are things called GOOGLE/YAHOO/BING/ETC search engine for u to find out
